To call Sunday night’s finale of “Once Upon a Time” stunning would be an understatement, given that we had everything from Rumpelstiltskin’s sad revelation on Belle to Emma Swan getting a warning that not too far in the future, she’s going to die in the middle of an epic sword fight.
Who is going to be responsible for this sword fight? That is something that there are no firm answers on at the moment. What we can give you for now is what executive producer Adam Horowitz had to say per TVLine about whether or not that future is completely set in stone for Jennifer Morrison’s character:
“Our characters are going to fight the battle to see if that is a fate that is immovable.”
Of course, we are going to tell you that we remain hopeful for Emma’s future for one primary reason: This is someone who has overcome many odds before, and we have seen in this show that there are rules and that they are meant to be broken.
One of the other things that could remain dangerous for Emma over the course of the rest of this season is what happens if she continues to keep this premonition a secret. Sooner or later, you gotta think that Hook is going to find out about it, and given everything he’s done for her, he’ll probably want to be in the know on this sort of thing! He’ll also probably feel that he was more than capable of helping, so why not let him help?
