‘Madam Secretary’ season 3 spoilers: To stop a hack

Secretary -When is “Madam Secretary” going to feel a little bit like the short-lived “CSI: Cyber”? Well, the upcoming October 16 episode entitled “The Linchpin” is going to have a story all about it, as a good percentage of the opening episodes of this season are going to revolve around the hacking of Jason’s computer. As you would imagine, anything that happens surrounding a member of active government could be viewed as incredibly dangerous, especially if that person is Elizabeth McCord and she is betting considered for Vice-President. It’s with that in mind we’re not surprised at all that this episode is going to feature them getting a security detail.

For some other sccop as to what to expect, our suggestion is to take a look at the synopsis below:

“With Algeria on the brink of a civil war, Elizabeth delicately negotiates a regime change, but her plans go awry when Roy Curtis (Dakin Matthews), the trusted U.S. Ambassador to Algeria, dies unexpectedly. Also, Henry fights to save religious antiquities in Algeria when he discovers they are being destroyed by Hizb al-Shahid, and the McCord children get their own security detail after Jason’s computer is hacked, on MADAM SECRETARY, Sunday, Oct. 16 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Michael Boatman guest stars as FBI Director Keith Doherty, who helps the McCords investigate the hacking of Jason’s computer.”

Ultimately, think of this as a little bit of evidence that regardless of what happens with the whole veep storyline, it does not quite seem as though a whole lot is going to change with Elizabeth or the core of the show. This is still one mostly about trying to make the world a better place through whatever means necessarily, while at the same time working to make things okay at home.
