‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 3: What’s next to Connor and Oliver?

For all of the people out there who love “How to Get Away with Murder” and ‘ship hard the characters of Oliver and Connor, we understand Thursday’s premiere being a little bit depressing. After all, you want to root for this couple to figure it out and find a way to be together, but what we saw instead over the course of the hour was a situation that led to the two of them going their separate ways. Given that it’s possible one of them dies later this season, that makes a bad situation even worse.

What also complicates matters even more is that these two are going to continue to have to work together in some way. Speaking on that subject to Entertainment Weekly, series star Jack Falahee had the following to say:

“It’s pretty awkward … I don’t think it’s ever a good idea to be working with your ex, and it’s very scary too for Connor and everyone else that Oliver is working in such close proximity — emotions are high and they’re obviously keeping a lot of secrets from Oliver. Honestly, I think it’s insane that Annalise hires him given his capabilities to go through electronic files and find things he shouldn’t be finding. That causes a little bit of stress for Connor.”

This stress could probably come to a head on several occasions; the only thing that may end up keeping these two functional in some way is that thanks to the craziness of this particular series, there is probably a million or so different projects that they could be working on.
