‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 8 premiere video: An onslaught of oversight

NCISThe premiere of “NCIS: Los Angeles” is coming onto CBS on Sunday night, and it’s doing so earlier than originally planned. Due to the network trimming their schedule elsewhere they’ve made room for the long-running crime drama to come on the air with an epic two-hour premiere that could resolve many storylines.

One that we’re certainly looking for some resolution to in particular is this: The whole issue of the mole. After another failure to bring this person to the surface, Under Secretary of Defense Corbin Duggan is going to arrive with some orders. At least temporarily, he will try to take over the unit from Hetty and Granger and oversee operations.

What’s important about this from a DC perspective is that they get the answers that they want, and in rather unsurprising fashion, they don’t seem to care too much at all about whatever sort of adverse effect this could have on the team. Their chemistry could be interrupted, and as a result of that someone could be injured. While this premiere event could offer up some answers, the question you should be wondering right now is at what cost these answers come. We’re going to have a close watch on this episode, since we figure whatever happens will reverberate through at least the first few episodes of the season.

Personally, we’re just ready to get this mole business over and done with. This story’s been around for a little while, and there have been too many periods of time in which talk when stagnant.
