‘The Flash’ season 3 trailer: Barry feels the effects of Flashpoint

Flash -

With us getting ever closer to the premiere of “The Flash” on Tuesday, October 4, The CW is starting to get a little more liberal when it comes to releasing sneak peeks and promos. The latest one we have below, and it may be the most entertaining one we’ve got to date.

Basically, the challenge that is laid out before Barry Allen looks a lot like this: He still remembers that he is the Flash, and understands why he has been placed within this alternate Flashpoint universe. However, at the same time he is not altogether willing to accept that everyone else is different as a result of being transplanted there. Caitlin Snow, for example, may not be a doctor in the same way she once was. Meanwhile, Cisco Ramon is a super-billionaire, and Wally West is the Flash a.k.a. Kid Flash.

There are still problems that Barry is going to face in this world, and it appears that one of the biggest ones could just be the state of his memory in this world. As the Reverse Flash tells him, the longer that he remains in Flashpoint, the more dangerous it becomes and the more likely he will forget almost everything that he once knew about himself. That’s particularly dangerous given that the real world does still need him, and the hope is that sooner or later, he will realize that and make the choice to head back in that direction.

Overall, the goal of this trailer was to get us hyped for the premiere, and they definitely deliver on that. Can season 3 just be here already?
