‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13, episode 2 preview: The aftermath of the arrest

Grey's -There’s no question that Alex did a bad thing at the end of “Grey’s Anatomy” season 12, as assaulting DeLuca did him ultimately no good whatsoever. From there, things only get worse as Meredith (at first) opted to not report him; as a matter of fact, she helped him come up with an excuse for what happened to his hand. Unfortunately, things got worse when it started to look as though Andrew’s career as a surgeon could be over, and it was getting harder and harder to keep what happened under wraps. Eventually, she couldn’t hide it anymore.

Could Alex’s actions come to a head on next week’s new episode “Catastrophe and the Cure”? Well, the synopsis below suggests that things are going to go from bad to worse, as Meredith could be thinking over her future options once more:

“Meredith considers her loyalties, as Alex deals with the repercussions of his actions. Newlyweds Amelia and Owen host a dinner party with unlikely guests, and Jackson proposes an arrangement to help April through her recovery.”

Hey, we’re going to see more of Amelia and Owen as married people! The premiere didn’t really cast the spotlight on either of them, so we’re excited to see where the two of them are when the dust settles on their relationship. In theory, aren’t dinner parties supposed to be rather lovely? We like to think so, but we have this sinking feeling in the pit of our stomach that this will probably not be the case here. This is “Grey’s Anatomy” after all and happy endings are few and far between on this show.
