‘Big Brother 18’ finale: Victor Arroyo on winning America’s Favorite Player (CBS backyard interview)
Victor Arroyo did it! While he did not win “Big Brother” this season, he did manage to leave the game with a rather big consolation prize: America’s Favorite Houseguest. The Sitting Ducks have a reason to celebrate, given that Paul did at least win second place and the $50,000 prize. That’s nothing to sneeze at.
So what did Victor have to say about the endgame and more? We have a few notable quotes from his Jeff Schroeder interview below following the finale.
On winning America’s Favorite Player – “I’m still a little taken by that. I was not expecting that, but thanks for all the love and support!”
On growing a beard – “He gave me some beard oil and he’s been giving me tips on how to grow it.”
On the outcome – “I obviously wanted my boy Paul to win, but I didn’t think [taking Nicole] was the right strategy move for him. He took someone who won comps there … why would you want to go against her?”
On James in the final two – “Nicole was in a good spot. If James would have won, he would have taken her to the final two.” (Note: James actually would have taken Paul.)
On Paul’s final speech – “It was a really great speech, and I wish it could have changed a vote to [get him the win]. I don’t think the speeches swayed anything. I think the roundtable swayed things.”
On his favorite moment – “Winning the last Battle Back competition, winning that belt to get back into the house for the first time.”
On if he would return – “A thousands times yes. This isn’t my first rodeo, as James would say.”
