‘Mr. Robot’ season 3: Premiere date speculation for Rami Malek – USA drama

Tonight, “Mr. Robot” is coming to an end for the time being, and hopefully with an exciting, surprising finale. (We’re going to watch it / have a review a little bit later in the week.)

For the sake of this article, what we want to do is take a look into the future of the show, and we’ll begin with this: The show is going to be coming back for a third season. USA officially renewed the show earlier this summer, and given its critical acclaim this should not come as much of a surprise to anyone. The only thing that we know for sure is that it will air at some point in 2017, and there is some more time to hammer out the finer details.

One of the bigger questions when it comes to the series’ long-term success was this: Are the ratings good enough? Clearly, they were for a third season, but despite the critical acclaim the ratings are down this season in the 18-49 demographic, which is the most important measure … especially when it comes to live viewing. Hopefully, the entire audience who was there this season sticks around for next season, since that way the show can have a reasonably long life. Given Rami Malek’s recent Emmy win and all of the nominations, we do think that this is a series USA is going to want to keep around for as long as it possibly can.
