‘Chicago Fire’ season 5 spoilers: Severide, Stella in danger in first premiere synopsis
After a great deal of waiting, “Chicago Fire” is going to be returning with the season 5 premiere on Tuesday, October 11; granted, that’s still a ways away from now, but we do have something in the first synopsis that should help to generate some excitement. The title is “The Hose or the Animal,” and based on the synopsis below, there is going to be everything from violence to tears to bid decisions over the course of the hour:
“Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Stella (Miranda Rae Mayo) are on the lookout for a very unstable Grant (guest star Guy Burnet), who left Chicago Med without notice. Now that Dawson (Monica Raymund) is responsible for Louie, she questions her dangerous career path as a firefighter. Casey (Jesse Spencer) continues his work as Alderman but his relationship with his political consultant, Susan Weller (guest star Lauren Stamile), cools. Problems continue for Borrelli (Steven R. McQueen), who still blames Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) for the death of his brother, and the situation reaches a boiling point. Meanwhile, Mouch (Christian Stolte) and Brett (Kara Killmer) start off on a new venture together.”
One story that we can give you a little bit more intel on is the Mouch / Brett collaboration: Firefighter romances, something that is apparently a subgenre with a certain degree of popularity. Will everyone be excited about this new venture? That still remains to be seen.
Also, we’re hoping that Dawson and Casey find a little bit of peace together, and can start to move forward with Louie in a way that they didn’t last season when they had divisions and issues.
