‘Poldark’ season 2, episode 3 video: Ross laments George’s latest actions
There is going to be another new episode of “Poldark” coming onto BBC One Sunday night, and based on the sneak peek below, there’s one issue that is going to be at the heart of the story above all else: Whether or not Ross can get his life and his respect back. While he may have survived the trial, his finances are in a terrible spot. The same goes for his relationship with Francis.
The video below puts the Francis relationship in the spotlight, mostly because Ross finds himself in the midst of a psychological disucssion on the subject of George’s actions. He is obviously upset regarding what transpired, and he wonders whether or not some of the actions of this man have led to his ruin. Even if he does get some of his money back, this does effectively nothing for his relationship with Francis and family does matter. It’s one of the few things in the world you can cling to when the going gets tough.
Unfortunately, what Ross may not realize at present is just how fragile a state Francis is also in, and in turn what sort of work may need to be done in order to rescue him from this situation. We anticipate some drama, and more so than that, we anticipate that a stand-off with George is reasonably imminent. Given that Ross refused his offer of friendship, and that he ended up escaping the trial despite George’s work to have him hanged, there are going to be many issues here that are not forgotten anytime soon.
For those looking for more analysis, we’ll be back tomorrow with a full review of everything that transpires.
