‘Blindspot’ season 2 spoilers: Jaimie Alexander on sorting through Jane’s past

Jane -Tonight, NBC is going to give the second season of “Blindspot” an early jump on the majority of their full schedule, and as it turns out there’s a pretty clear reason for that: They want to do their best to take advantage of having “America’s Got Talent” as a launching pad tonight. Can you really blame them?

Of course over the course of the next batch of episodes there are a lot of different mysteries that the show is going to try and unravel, with one of the biggest ones being how in the world Jane Doe is going to start to uncover more of her past. She will learn a few revelations thanks to others in the episode ahead, but at the same exact time, you also better prepare to see her start to realize some more things on her own. In previewing what is coming up to Entertainment Weekly, star Jaimie Alexander passed along the following message as to what to expect:

“There’s going to be a lot of flashbacks, she’s going to be taken certain places that trigger memories that are very, very central to the storyline. It’s pretty great because our showrunner [Martin Gero has] definitely decided to give the audience a ton of answers because the first season was ‘Who is Jane Doe?’ but now you’re going to find out and now it’s like, ‘What is she going to do?’ and that’s almost a scarier plotline. But as for Jane, she’s going to learn a lot about who she is, you’re going to know her real name in the first episode, you’ll know where she was from, where she was born, what happened to her when she was a kid, why she is as skilled as she is. It’s a ton of information. I mean it really sets up this season explosively.”

Given where Jane spent the past few months (mostly in captivity), we imagine that there will be a lot explored almost right away in terms of how Jane is feeling about things, and the sort of answers that she wants — let alone how she plans to go about finding them.
