‘Halt and Catch Fire’ season 3, episode 6 preview: A story of stand-offs
Tuesday night’s new episode of “Halt and Catch Fire” can be described in many ways as a series of stories about the future. Some of them were hopeful, some of them were fearful, and some of them are relatively ambiguous. Take, for example, the present state of things with one Joe MacMillan. We don’t quite know whether or not he is okay, and it remains hard to know precisely when we will know. Was the smile a good thing? Let’s hope so.
Unfortunately, the synopsis for next week’s new episode “And She Wins” fails to give too much away one where or another. Take a look at it below via TV Guide:
“Tensions rise over an offer to buy Mutiny; and Donna has a weekend alone, while Gordon and Cam bond over video games. Meanwhile, Joe has a standoff with the board.”
While we are merely speculating, we could see the Mutiny offer descending into chaos. Cameron has expressed already her frustrations over gradually losing a substantial part of herself within her company. What do you think could happen in the event she loses all of it? She may already feel like she has after Donna’s betrayal.
As for Joe, to us it doesn’t quite matter in his mind if he is okay so much as it does cementing a legacy. He knows he needs that either way, which is likely why he has Ryan there in the first place, and why he is suddenly so willing to challenge a board who loathes the use of the words “free.”
