‘Gotham’ season 3 and the threat of Fish Mooney

Gotham -

When the third season of “Gotham” returns to Fox a little bit later this year, there are going to be a wide array of threats who make themselves rather clear. At the center of many of them, though, will be a threat who had herself dormant for some time before rising to the surface near the end of season 2: Fish Mooney. She’s back, and this time around she’s got the power to be more persuasive than ever before.

So what precisely does her return mean? Based on what executive producer Ken Woodruff said to Entertainment Weekly, it looks like danger (and plenty of it) will be around the corner for almost every character:

“She definitely has a huge impact on Penguin … She’s a really powerful person in this world, and Indian Hill only accentuated that. Her time in Indian Hill gave her this ability to exert control over people and for her. She couldn’t ask for a better power. She’s going to stir things up and cause some real problems for everyone involved.”

Given that Fish does have this new power, there is a valid question as to how long she can survive this time around. While this makes her far more capable as a leader of bad guys within this world, at the same time it could make her much more of a target. If you know someone is capable of doing this much damage, do you really want to run the risk of them being able to do terrible things with it?
