‘The X Factor’ UK video: Anelisa returns — nine years later!

Let’s be honest: It is fairly often that we see a singer return to “The X Factor” after a fairly long layoff. However, it’s a little more unusual to see someone come back more than five years after their original audition.

With that being said, this is precisely what we’ve got in the video below courtesy of Anelisa! She was first on the show nine years ago, which is an incredibly long time ago and really a different era. Look at it this way: Back then, Twitter and social media wasn’t what it was today, and the same goes with video playback. She’s a throwback contestant, and we say that even with it in mind that she is still in her mid-twenties.

Before performing, she tells Simon Cowell that the judges were right so many years ago when they told her that she wasn’t quite ready for the big time. Yet, she claims that she certainly is now. After hearing her audition, it’s fairly easy to agree with her! She’s got almost everything that you would want to see from a singer of her age and with her capabilities. Her voice has a lot of layers, a deep range, and she also has her own style and personality that should make her different from everyone else.

Now, will she have a chance to make a live show? If nothing else, we do feel fairly confident that she is going to get a chance to perform in the Six-Chair challenge this year.
