‘The Amazing Race Canada 4’ finale preview: Who has the edge in Montreal?

Cast -After a crazy season, next week “The Amazing Race Canada” will be coming to a close with a leg in a city rich with history and plenty of things to do: Montreal. This also probably happens to be one of the places in Canada that still has a lot to give to the franchise; over the years, they haven’t visited the city as much as we would’ve liked. The last time something major happened there was back in season 2.

The preview that aired following this past episode was certainly eventful, and suggests that this could be a physically grueling leg that also test the remaining teams’ mental fortitude. We also imagine that having a small amount of French language skills probably will be beneficial given that you are in Quebec.

So who do we think is in the best spot to win in this location? Steph & Kristen have the momentum right now in first place, and they are our pick at present to win because they have no easily-identifiable weakness. They’ve for the most part gotten along well over the course of the season, and have shown time and time again that they are fast in some of the athletic tasks.

Yet, we’re far from 100% about their odds of winning this season thanks to the overall level of competition around them. Jillian & Emmett have won just as many legs as Steph & Kristen, and Emmett is so strong physically that he easily could be dominant if there is a challenge that involves some sort of lifting and carrying. Our main concern there is that they have a volatile relationship and can get rattled.

As for Joel & Ashley, they tend to be steady; however, they are the least-gifted physically of the remaining teams. For them to win, they’ll have to run a mistake-free leg and capitalize on some errors elsewhere. They can do it, but they’ve won the fewest amount of legs to date.
