‘Mistresses’ season 4 finale spoilers: Is Karen dead — or could Savi, someone else return?

Tonight, “Mistresses” set up the season 4 finale with an episode of TV that was stuffed full of key information, pregnancy news, and a variety of prospects for the future. As you go into tomorrow’s big conclusion, some of the future is going to bear fruit. We’re jumping forward to the future, we’ll see some of the characters’ parental styles, and there will be a few new things that come up that shake things up in a rather big way.

For more, take a look at the synopsis below:

“Fast-forward several months, Joss and Harry, as well as April and Marc, are happily married and are new parents.  Marc takes on the role of an overly concerned, overly attentive parent, while Harry is more hands-off as he tries to navigate how to be a father. Harry’s world is turned upside down when he meets Gabe, someone from his past.”

We certainly hope that whatever these stories are, there is enough of a conclusion here so that fans don’t lose their minds while waiting for ABC to announce the series’ future. Our personal hope is that the show will be given another 10-13 episodes in order to wrap up the story, the ratings suggest that it could be in danger of cancellation. The last thing we want to see is the show get the ax without having a chance to satisfy the people who have been there watching from the beginning. It’s ultimately a fate that has befallen too many good shows as of late.

Update: We’ve got the promo, and it certainly makes us wonder one thing: Is Savi coming back? All we have is a silhouette, so we can’t be too sure right now. (Does any other return at this point even qualify? We certainly hadn’t heard anything of Alyssa Milano coming back; it’d certainly be a good way for the show to make a pitch for season 5.)

Also, we’d be totally shocked if Karen is actually gone after the end of tonight’s episode; maybe Joss and April thought she was dead and she’s not? We’re just tossing ideas out here, and we want to hear yours!
