‘The Fosters’ season 4 spoilers: Will Cortney return?

At the end of “The Fosters” season 4A, we had a lot of storylines that came to a head, whether it be Callie’s investigation, Mariana and Nick’s past / present, and also Brandon’s past SAT “side job” coming back to bite him. Now, he’s unable to go to Julliard despite passing the audition with flying colors.

If there is one storyline you can argue didn’t get enough play during the end of the first half of the season, it is what transpired with Brandon’s current girlfriend Cortney.

Speaking per Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Peter Paige made it clear that you will in fact have an opportunity to see this storyline play out again at some point in the second half of the season, which is pretty darn critical when you think for a moment about everything that the two of them have to talk about.

First things first, you have the letter that Brandon sent to her while in New York, which he did under the assumption that his Julliard dreams would be a reality and that he would be unattached and without pressure during the audition. We don’t think he had the time to have the conversation with her yet on their future, and with the SAT devastation, there’s a good chance she ends up getting the letter before he even speaks to her.

Also, you have to wonder what him staying in San Diego means for their relationship. We’re not quite sure she is going to be willing to take him back just because he’s around, given the perception of her that he made clear while in the Big Apple.
