Is ‘Girl Meets World’ season 3, episode 13 new tonight? More on ‘The Great Lady of New York’

GMW -Let’s go ahead and get the bad news out of the way here for fans of “Girl Meets World“: You’re not going to be seeing the next new episode tonight. Heck, you’re not going to be seeing it next week, either. You’re going to have to wait until September 16, two weeks from tonight, in order to see the next new episode. The title here is “Girl Meets the Great Lady of New York,” and as the photo above indicates, this episode is going to be bright, colorful, and largely about cultural diversity.

For more evidence of that, just be sure to check out the short Disney Channel synopsis below:

“Some of the students are surprised to learn about their diverse heritage during Cultural Week.”

The “Great Lady” in the title is probably a reference to the Statue of Liberty, and this certainly feels like the right time for the show to address something like cultural backgrounds and diversity in its own way. We do think that this show is timely in how it tackles issues impacting people around the country; it just chooses to address issues in a way that is not overly political. Take, for example, earlier this season when they included a positive depiction of a police officer, someone who was trying to make the neighborhood a better place and teach young people right from wrong. This felt at the time like a subtle reminder that there are good police officers out there in the midst of negative headlines about the actions of the few.

Without getting too political here, we do think the next episode will be fun simply from the standpoint of learning more about where these characters come from.
