‘Supernatural’ season 12 spoilers: Things aren’t looking great for Sam…

Sam -

The folks over at “Supernatural” are certainly working hard to come up with some great stories, and in the process of that, they’re also working hard to make you genuinely fearful of what could be coming next for our heroes. While season 11 ended with Dean Winchester reasonably safe, you can argue that his emotions are all over the place following what happened with Mary Winchester’s return to the world.

Meanwhile, for his brother Sam, let’s just say that his torment is a little more physical. We clearly knew he was going to survive whatever happened at the end of season 11, and the photo above makes it clear that a very different sort of torment awaits him. He’s at the mercy now of the British chapter of the Men of Letters, but how long before someone sweeps in and tries to pull off the heroic rescue? That’s what we are in the process of trying to figure out right now.

Ultimately, “Supernatural” is going to have a lot of business to attend to in its early episodes, since you do need to figure out a way to get Sam and Dean back together so that you can resume some of the classic monster-of-the-week storytelling. Yet, to go along with that, you also do have to figure out a way to make sure that these stories with the Men of Letters or Mary to last longer than just a mere episode. Otherwise, isn’t that cliffhanger a little less of a huge impact?
