‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 7, episode 12 video: Jane, Maura look ahead as series finale looms

It’s a tear-jerking though, but it doesn’t make it any less true: There are only two episodes left of TNT’s “Rizzoli & Isles” before the end of the road. It’s a time for us to get nostalgic as viewers, and for the characters, it’s a chance to help prepare them for an opportunity to say goodbye.

In the promo below, you can actually get something that is relatively rare when you think for a minute about the sort of promos that this network tends to put out: There’s some sort of actual plot discussed here!

For Jane, it could involve her romantic future — there’s not a lot of time to figure that out, so we have to figure that tis is more of a tease and a setup for what could be coming beyond the series finale as opposed to just a brief thing. Even if there is no relationship here, maybe it is representative of something more that could be coming following the end credits.

Meanwhile, Maura may be looking at her future beyond the lab, and she could clue in some of the other characters as to some of her plans.

While we’re not going to say that there is anything in here that completely blows our mind, at the same time it is nice to get a sense of where the writers are going as the finale reaches its end. Hopefully, this episode proves itself to be everything that we were hoping for going in.
