‘Dancing with the Stars 23’ spoilers: Olympian Laurie Hernandez reportedly added to roster

Given the upcoming U.S. gymnastics tour, we imaged that the entire Olympic Final Five team would be sitting the upcoming season of “Dancing with the Stars” out. however, it appears that this is not the case, after all.

According to a report from Us Weekly, Laurie Hernandez is going to be stepping into the ballroom this season in hopes of trying to impress America with a different sort of skill. Given that the tour still hasn’t gone away, we imagine that she’s going to be working almost around-the-clock — which certainly sounds like a lot for someone who is only 16 years old.

To date, Simone Biles has been the Olympian more heavily rumored to be on the show, but she previously suggested that she may be more up for doing the spring installment over the fall. Maybe we’ll get a chance to see her there.

If Hernandez is a part of the cast, she won’t be the only Olympian present. Swimmer Ryan Lochte is following up his controversial run at the Olympics with a supposed appearance, and there could also be someone else given how recent the Olympics were held. Meanwhile, other contestants could include Babyface Edmonds, “The Fosters” alum Jake T. Austin, host / model Amber Rose, Emma Samms of “General Hospital,” and “Little Women: LA” star Terra Jole. We’re more than likely going to have a rather diverse roster in terms of performers and styles, given that we also believe that there will be a former football star somewhere across the board this season.

The new season of “Dancing with the Stars” will have its full cast revealed on Tuesday during “Good Morning America.”
