‘The Flash’ season 3 spoilers: First photo of Joey King’s Magenta!

The third season of “The Flash” is set to have a wide array of new villains, and we’re thrilled today just to have the tiniest first look at one of them in Magenta!

In the photo below, you can see actress Joey King share a quick look at what her character will look like when she first appears a little later this fall. We know that in the comics Magenta has powers that are relatively similar to Magneto from the X-Men, and she could have a lot of company on the villain front this season. Grey Damon has already been cast as the Mirror Master, and Ashley Rickards will be playing the series’ version of The Top. These characters could end up forming their own criminal syndicate-of-sorts or working alongside other members of the Rogues. Given that Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell are a little busy on “Legends of Tomorrow” these days, some of these characters could help fill the villain void here. (Rest assured that we imagine they’ll all still be turning up here at some point, as well.)

New episodes of “The Flash” will start airing this fall, and we’re kicking things off with the alternate-universe story “Flashpoint.” While signs point to this arc lasting more than one episode, eventually Barry is going to find his way out of this and we’ll see him back in the present … albeit with some potential changes. It’s hard to necessarily restore the fabric to precisely what it once was.
