‘Supergirl’ season 2: Lynda Carter shares another Presidential photo!

Supergirl -

The second season of “Supergirl” is in production, and more than there are a few rather special things that the series is planning to unleash on the world. First things first, you’ve got an appearance from Tyler Hoechlin as Superman that is accelerating the hype that comes with the CW move. Also, you’re going to have an opportunity to see former Wonder Woman Lynda Carter as the President of the United States!

While the photo below from Carter’s official Twitter account is not the first image that we’ve had a chance to see of her as the character, it is the first shot from filming we’ve had a chance to witness. It certainly is picturesque given that you have her standing before what appears to be a rather remarkable view with the mountains of Vancouver in the background. What’s more Presidential than this?

What remains to be seen is effectively what role the President is going to have in the series, given that we don’t imagine her spending much of her time hanging around National City. She may recruit the help of Supergirl and/or Superman for a mission, and in some way we imagine the show trying to remind viewers of all of the positive things that a President can be, something that has not really been much of the focus during a contentious, somewhat-depressing Presidential election going on this fall.

We’ll have some other information on the story ahead and Carter’s role as it comes out; the new season is currently slated to premiere in October.
