‘Big Brother 18’ live feed spoilers: The Veto players and the replacement plan

Natalie -

At this point in the “Big Brother” season, it’s a fair argument that every Veto Competition matters. The one today could be more interesting than usual because there is so much in flux.

The players for the competition are basically everyone in the house other than Nicole, which is a sign that we’re at this point in the season where trying to backdoor someone is almost entirely useless. As for the nature of the competition, it’s probably memory-based thanks to a series of “storm warnings” that have popped up in the house over the past twelve or so hours. This is a competition that definitely doesn’t seem to favor Corey, who is convinced that he is destined to fail at this.

Where things get very interesting is that while Corey does seem to be the fairly obvious replacement nominee, there’s no guarantee he goes home over Paul given that Natalie and James are starting to back off of the plan of saving him last week. He did an amazing job fighting to stay alive last week, but the problem is that with these two, you almost have to convince them at the last minute because you then give them time to think about it. We certainly don’t think their frequent flip-flopping will look good in front of the jury, and it gives better credence to people like Michelle or even Victor, shocking as that may be given his previous elimination, winning in the end.

Ultimately, we do think Paul’s in the best spot to win this competition regardless. He’s shown to be good at puzzles and mental competitions, and he also has studied hard to date.
