‘Major Crimes’ season 5 spoilers: First details on three-part episode!

Major Crimes -

As we reported yesterday, “Major Crimes” is going be ending at least the summer portion of this season with a three-part episode entitled “White Lies,” and what you can expect to see over the course of the installments is rather simple: A lengthy investigation, and one that could prove to be incredibly dangerous. While we hope that everyone on the team all survives, there is one character in particular who could find themselves in real danger.

The new synopsis below (via SpoilerTV) offers up some further details:

“In attempting to clear up lose ends from their investigation of a gang of White Supremacists, Major Crimes detectives audit the trial of serial killer Dwight Darnell, and end up facing their most deadly case ever while Rusty’s psychologist, Dr. Joe, faces an unexpected confrontation that leaves his life in jeopardy.”

Obviously, we don’t want to see any important character go, especially someone who does routinely help Rusty preserve his mental health. The primary thing that we’re hoping to see over the course of these episodes is something that tests the characters on a deeper level, and maybe in turn causes them to think about the burden that comes along with this job. We know the sacrifices that these characters make, but it’s not often referenced enough.

Overall, it does seem like an eventful, dramatic story will be getting set up before the hiatus and we typically like this show best when they have story arcs that go over a few episodes. This show has an incredibly strong cast that has a remarkable chemistry, so when they have these longer arcs we typically get more focus on our team on a deeper, personal level.
