Is ‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 4, episode 11 new tonight on The CW?

“Beauty and the Beast” in its final season is absolutely putting Cat and Vincent through the wringer, and based on what we’re sensing at present from the schedulers over at The CW, they are willing to do the same exact thing to viewers before we get to the series finale.

Last week, the show presented a new episode after a week in repeats, and this week, we’re back to getting encores yet again. Why not air a new episode tonight? We trace much of it back once more to the Olympics, the ratings monster that it is. For one, Showcase in Canada probably didn’t want it against the Games, and it’s probably the same thing for The CW here in America. Even if neither network is continuing the show beyond this summer, don’t you still want the best ratings possible?

When we get a chance to see more of the series, it’ll be doing so in the form of an arc where Vincent and Cat have to track down a potential new Beast, one that Braxton warned them about prior to being taken out himself. Much of his plot with the “beast buyer” may have been motivated by this in some shape or form.

Sound exciting? It is for us, but here’s another warning to get out of the way: Following next week’s new episode, there is another hiatus that will be coming up for a week before the final episodes of the season roll around.
