MTV’s ‘Scream’ season 3: The killer speaks on uncertain future

Scream -At the end of the second season of “Scream,” we finally had an answer in terms of a long-burning question: Who was the killer? It proved to be a deadly reveal, mostly because of the fact that we last someone in Eli right before realizing that it was Kieran who was behind it all along! Of course, there could still be someone else out there judging from the little tease at the end.

Unfortunately, there’s also one other mystery that exists beyond the world of the show, and that is whether or not there’ll be a third season. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor behind the killer in Amadeus Serafini said the following about the mystery moving forward:

“It’s a dark horizon. I really don’t know. I don’t know what’s going to be going on with a third season, whether there will or won’t be [one]. And as for what’s going to happen with my character, I do not know. It’s funny not to know, to be back in that boat of not knowing. That’s how they really push this show along, keeping us all in the dark. It’s a Usual Suspects tactic of almost letting every actor believe that their character might be the killer and letting them play with that, capturing singular moments of suspicious looks and intentions. And then just taking it all away and giving it to one person. I think it’s worked out rather well.”

Obviously, we’d love to see more of the story moving forward in some way, but much of that depends on what MTV chose to do. Ultimately, we like the way the writers handled season 2, keeping some mystery among the actors and then also making the big reveal in the end. If it is over now, at least it went out with a fairly satisfying conclusion.
