TV Quick Hits: ‘Elementary’ season 5 photo; ‘Lethal Weapon’ screening; ‘Time After Time’ casting

Lethal Weapon” and “Pitch” get special screenings – In preparation of the new series coming on the air, Fox is teaming up with Rooftop Cinema Club to provide some unique experiences for fans looking to see the premieres in advance. Granted, you probably need to live in New York or Los Angeles in order to see them.

Per an official press release, here’s what you need to know about the screenings.

Friday, Aug. 19 –  YOTEL New York in Manhattan; Doors open at 7:00 PM, Screenings Begin at 8:00 PM; Champagne and Popcorn Included. (Click here for tickets.)

Sunday, Aug. 21 – OfficeOps in Bushwick, Brooklyn; Doors open at 7:00 PM, Screenings Begin at 8:00 PM; BYOB and Concessions Available for Purchase (Must be +21 to Enter this Location, click here for tickets.)

Sunday, Aug. 21 – The Montalban in LA; Doors open at 7:00 PM, Screenings Begin at 8:00 PM; Concessions Available for Purchase. (Click here for tickets.)

“Time After Time” casts Will Chase – Fresh off of his time on “Nashville,” the actor has signed up for the ABC midseason entry. His character’s name is Griffin, and you can see the full description below via Entertainment Weekly:

“As boyfriend to billionaire Vanessa Anders, he’s also one half of Manhattan’s most talked about power couple. But when a mysterious man in the form of H.G. Wells suddenly becomes a major distraction in Vanessa’s life, Griffin finds his relationship with her strained and his patience tested.”

Elementary” and Nelsan Ellis – If you’ve been reading the site often, you may already know that the former “True Blood” actor is going to appear on season 5 as Shinwell Johnson, a character from the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle source material who has a history with Joan Watson. He also ends up becoming a rather unique resource for her and Sherlock.

Now, you can see a first look photo of Ellis on the show, per TVLine. The new season starts later this fall.
