‘Major Crimes’ season 5, episode 9 preview: Buzz’s mission continues in ‘Family Law’

Buzz -Monday night’s new episode of “Major Crimes” chose to place the focus largely on the celebrity world, and some of the hardships that can come from being a part of it. So moving into next week’s installment, the series is plotting a little bit of a different approach: They are putting the focus more on an iconic location in the Greek Theatre, a place well-known to many celebrities and ordinary people alike.

How big of a role will the locale have over the course of “Family Law”? Well, let’s just say that there will be the body of a jogger found on its steps — certainly a pretty terrible start to a case. Somehow, the investigation leads them to the world of divorce attorneys, which can mean in turn a lot of clients stuffed full of rage. (If you’re going through the process of divorce, odds are that you’re not in a great mood.) Tao is going to be undercover, but it remains to be seen if that is connected to the case or something else.

As for the other stories of the episode, get ready for some great stuff from Buzz as he figures out the identity of a suspect connected to his father’s murder. This comes via connecting the partials to a complete fingerprint. We don’t think that this story will be resolved in this episode, but we’ll take whatever progress we can.
