‘Girl Meets World’ season 3, episode 10 preview: One last ‘Girl Meets I Do’ tease

Come Friday night on the Disney Channel, “Girl Meets World” is going to be back with another news episode, and this time around we’re talking weddings! “Girl Meets I Do” is one of the most-anticipated episodes of the season, and it in many ways symbolizes something that has been a theme for the show for much of the past year or so: Change. It’s coming, and you have to have to figure out how to embrace it, or even if you want to at all.

For Maya, change on Friday is coming via Shawn Hunter marrying her mother. It’s something that she has been privy to, and from that vantage point, it’s not too dramatic a surprise to know that it is happening. Yet, at the same time there is a pretty distinct difference between knowing something is happening and then actually seeing it materialize, and that is something that she is experiencing now.

We’ve seen in the previews Maya suffering from a little bit of sudden uncertainty at the thought of her mother tying the knot. Will that stick? This is what we’re waiting to find out, but we do feel like it’s going to mark the foundation of what could be an interesting half-hour for the TV. By the end of it, we know that one way or another her life is not going to be the same.

As for how Maya’s mother getting married will impact Riley and the Matthews family, it’s as simple as it marks multiple worlds coming together. Shawn Hunter has basically been a family friend for an extremely long time, and Maya has ushered in something similar.
