‘Big Brother 18’ live review: The Double Eviction, as it happens!

Big Brother -Buckle up: This is going to be arguably the craziest night of “Big Brother” of the season. If everything goes according to plan going into the show, we could see a blindside, and then also at the same time a really crazy Head of Household reign … though with that being said, we are certainly anticipating someone coming along and letting the air out of the tires. That someone will probably be Paulie.

Given that this is one of the biggest nights of the season, we’re going to be reviewing the Double Eviction live as it happens! Refresh this page often, since we’re going to have a heck of a lot of crazy stuff to discuss…

First eviction – We got a super-tiny tease of the drama of the past two days, and the vote flipping to get Michelle out of the house. Really epic stuff, and Michelle calling Paulie out during her speech was even more epic. Watching Paulie squirm was pretty amazing, much more so than James’ clear pandering to America with that tank-top. The votes came in, and Zakiyah is gone. BOOM. We do feel bad for Zakiyah not getting the round-trip ticket and getting blindsided, and we do also think that Julie Chen didn’t give a particularly great interview with her after the fact, either. It was literally all about Paulie. Ugh.

Head of Household – Well, it was Corey … and this is the darkest timeline. We figured that we couldn’t have everything we wanted.

Nominations – Given that this is Corey of course we imagined that it was going to be something dull and predictable. Suddenly, the guys are back together, and we have Bridgette and Michelle on the block with the latter likely serving as the target.

Power of Veto – In the end, Corey won again … ugh. Granted, fans of James / Natalie may be happy about her not being a possible replacement nominee, but that’s literally the only thing to be excited about unless Michelle has a Round-Trip ticket and gets to go right back into the house. Of course, he didn’t use it, and Big Meech more than expected to go home based on her speech. She realized that there really wasn’t much she could do at that point.

Eviction – We’d heard previously that there were discussions about evicting Bridgette before Michelle, but this still surprised us. The guys all got rid of the former, clearly thinking Big Meech is someone who will be “too emotional” to win. (Ugh at that as well.) Did anyone else Nicole going at Michelle rather than actually bothering to say goodbye to Bridgette? Then again, her game WAS just blown up in front of everyone.
