‘American Horror Story’ season 6: Sarah Paulson confirms participation

AHS -

While FX may not be saying a whole lot at present when it comes to the sixth season of “American Horror Story,” we at least know one more thing for certain: Sarah Paulson is going to be a part of it.

While at the TCA Summer Press Tour today, Paulson (who has appeared in every season of the franchise so far) confirmed that she will be back for another season, but declined to reveal anything in terms of what character she would be playing or what the theme of the show will be. As reported already today, FX is planning to not release the theme prior to the premiere, that way viewers end up getting a chance to see it as a surprise. (It’s still to be seen, but we do wonder whether or not they will shy away from sending out press screeners for that same reason.)

As of right now, the only confirmed participants in the new season of the show are Paulson plus Cheyenne Jackson, Angela Bassett, and in some capacity Lady Gaga. Here’s the thing, though: It’s not altogether clear if any of them are regulars, or are playing a smaller part. We’d like to assume that familiar faces like Denis O’Hare and Evan Peters are taking part, but that is just that: An assumption, and you know what happens to people who assume…

The new season will start next month on FX, and we’ll have further coverage every step of the way. The big twist here is that thanks to the network’s promotional strategy, it’s very well possible that we don’t get a chance to hear too much else…
