‘The Fosters’ season 4, episode 8 preview: What lies ahead in ‘Girl Code’

Tonight, “The Fosters” season 4 delivered a story that contained everything from relationship crises to Mariana being incredibly stressed — and in several different ways, drug use ended up being a big part of the story. Mariana wanted to get whatever edge that she could, while Jude ended up scoring a certain “strain” while at school.

Moving into next week’s “Girl Code,” we’re going to see several different stories escalate as we are nearing the end of the summer portion of this season, and for Mariana in particular, she could become so stressed-out under the pressure of delivering the perfect STEAM robotics project that she goes over the edge. (You also have to remember that everything with Nick is understandably still weighing on her, as well.)

As for what else you can anticipate taking place, be prepared to see Callie get so involved in what is going on with Patrick Molloy that she gets a warning from the police, who accuse her of harassing him. She obviously wants justice, but she does have to be careful in precisely how she wants to go about it. He’s already rather displeased with her based on the events that we just saw on the show.

Finally, we are going to see Brandon get ready for his upcoming Julliard audition, which could make or break his entire future. While he and Cortney are technically still together for the time being, we’re not getting much in the way of a guarantee that this is going to happen moving forward.
