‘The X Factor’ UK and yet another controversy

The latest news -If you follow “The X Factor,” then you should already be familiar with the frequency of tabloid rumors surrounding the show. It ultimately doesn’t matter if they or true or not, given that they will still surface in the British press.

The latest one is especially odd, given that it is a rather difficult one to back up thanks to not even seeing the show as of yet. According to The Mirror, there are conspiracy theories aplenty out there about The Brooks, a duo with show experience who has made it to the judges houses stage of the competition. Why? They claim that Sinitta, a key adviser to Simon Cowell and occasional presence on the show, has been working with them to get through the competition:

“Sinitta recently became involved behind the scenes of a band who have by ‘pure coincidence’ just got through to the judges houses stage of the X Factor this year … The Brooks recently became involved with Sinitta who has been advising them that they will get through the competition with her behind them.”

For the record, we’re going to go ahead and file it under “pure nonsense” that one person will influence the entire competition; if the group was terrible, do you think that producers would simply nod and put them through because they know someone? Plus, the public always votes at the end of the day, and ITV releases the percentages. Out of all of the reality competition shows out there, there is probably more transparency here than with many others.
