We’re of course hoping that there will be some sort of epic crossover event regarding all of the various DC Comics shows on The CW in the near future, but for now, we’ll take whatever sort of fun little connection that we can get — even if it is an off-camera one.
For a prime example, take a look at the photo below featuring “Arrow” star Stephen Amell alongside Tyler Hoechlin on the “Supergirl” set. The “Teen Wolf” alumni has been cast as Clark Kent / Superman for at least a couple of episodes, and he certainly looks happy to be donning the costume in the photo below!
What’s significant about this beyond two really cool actors meeting is that this is probably the most up-close look we’ve had of the Superman costume other than promotional photos that we’ve seen from The CW that are given that extra dose of gloss. Sure, there have been on-set spies who have leaked things, but we don’t really like sharing that sort of stuff since they are often action sequences that take away from some of the magic. This one’s fun because A) Hoechlin wanted his picture taken here and B) we’re not sure that Superman will be featured at all in the upcoming crossovers. This could be all we get.
We’ll have some other news all about both “Supergirl” and “Arrow” in due time. In the case of the former, we haven’t even see a full trailer yet given that the show was not filming at the time of San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year.
