‘The X Factor’ UK could tribute David Bowie, Prince on upcoming season

X Factor -

The new season of “The X Factor” is coming later this month to both ITV and AXS depending on where you are, and many weeks after that, we’ll get to what is in our mind the true meat of the show: The live performances! The remaining contestants will get a chance to show who they really are without editing, and with them getting to show the full extent of their personalities.

To go along with that, we now know that there are some plans in place in order to deliver one of the most powerful series of shows to date. According to a new report coming in from The Sun, show producers are planning to do tributes to Prince and Davie Bowie following their passings earlier this year. Given that these two were such influences to many modern artists, it does make sense that this show would try to honor them and their songbook.

This is a move that we have definitely seen some other versions of the franchise do over the years; in particular, we have seen a wide array of different themes to honor Michael Jackson.

Hopefully, we will have some other updates on the new season shortly; above all else, we anticipate that it will have the same combination of drama, stakes, and memorable artists that we’ve seen over the years. We just hope that there is a little more lightheartedness crammed in there, as well.
