‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13 poster all about the blues

Grey's -The thirteen season of “Grey’s Anatomy” is going to be coming your way on ABC later this fall, and in promotion of that, ABC has presented to us (via TVLine) what may be one of the strongest posters for the show in years.

Ultimately, this is good just because of the style of it all, whether it be the blue color scheme or the sideways cityscape of Seattle alongside Ellen Pompeo’s face. This is the second straight season that the show has used Pompeo and no one else for their posters, which is to us a clear sign that this is Meredith’s story more than ever.

If there is a flaw with this poster, it’s clearly that there is nothing altogether new or shocking that comes from this. It’s a story of a woman living in Seattle would be the only takeaway you would get from this if you are not a diehard fan of the show already. There’s not even a clear indicator in here that Meredith is a doctor. Ultimately, though, the purpose of these posters is to pop out in a crowd, and we do think that this is effective for that. It’s not exactly easy to get people buzzing about a show that is well over a decade into its run, and this does pull that off.

As for what you can expect from Meredith in season 13, the jury’s still out on what her recent relationship with Riggs will lead to. Maybe he turns out to be this next great love for her, but at the same time, there are complications thanks to his past, and also what Maggie feels for him at the moment.
