‘Doctor Who’ season 10: Michelle Gomez unsure about next appearance

Doctor Who -Through her multiple appearances on “Doctor Who,” Michelle Gomez has brought a lot to her role of Missy a.k.a. the Master. As a result of that, it really goes without saying that we’d love to see more of her in the future.

So what’s the bad news? It really comes down to the fact that we don’t quite know when we are going to see her on the show again. Speaking per the Radio Times while at the London Film and Comic-Con, she made it clear that she is still waiting to see when she could return to the franchise:

“I just don’t know … I mean, I don’t even know if she’s coming back this season to be honest. As a freelancer which is what I am, I try to bag the next job, do it as well as I can and then move on to the next one.”

Given that Steven Moffat is leaving following the 2017 Christmas Special, we would hope that Gomez would get at least one more chance to appear before then. Yet, we know that there are so many stories, and you only want to use her if you’ve got something great for her.

Gomez did also make it clear in this interview that she would be more than open to appearing on the upcoming spin-off “Class,” though at the same time it is not entirely clear what this show will look like long-term. The series (which is airing on BBC Three) sounds fun, but we have to see it in practice.
