‘Talking Preacher’ spoilers: Ian Colletti, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg join Chris Hardwick after finale
Tonight, the first season of “Preacher” is going to come to a close on AMC, and for the series that means that the network is giving us a Chris Hardwick aftershow for the first time since the beginning of the series.
“Talking Preacher” is going to air tonight at around 10:20 p.m. Eastern time (make note of the longer finale tonight), and joining Hardwick tonight on the show will be a trio of people who are more than familiar with the property. We start here with actor Ian Colletti, who as Eugene has played a very integral role over the second half of the season. He has suffered more than anyone as a result of Genesis, and based on his booking here you gotta think that he has a huge role to play in the finale.
Meanwhile, show executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are also going to be present to chat about everything that happened. They have had a role in the series from the beginning, and they also directed some early episodes. If anyone can shed some light on what the second-season plans are, it’s these guys.
Do we wish in many ways that AMC would give us “Talking Preacher” every week? Sure, much in the same way that we wish there was a “Talking Saul” that followed up every episode of “Better Call Saul.” Yet, we do like this structure in that the aftershows serve almost as bookends; also, we have a hard time imagining how Hardwick is able to balance all of these shows along with watching the shows, hosting “@midnight,” and having a standup career and weekly podcast. The man may not ever sleep!
If you want to preview the “Preacher” finale even further tonight, our suggestion is clear: Be sure to head over to the link here! That is where you can watch the first five minutes right now.
