‘Supergirl’ season 2 cast hypes up show following CW move

Kara -

If you were worried at all that “Supergirl” was going to be an incredibly different or inferior show following its move to The CW, the cast wants to do their part to quiet some of your concerns.

Speaking (per Yahoo TV) while at Comic-Con, David Harewood gave a very clear, and very cool response when asked about why this move to a new network is a good thing:

“They understand the mythology, they understand the world, so it’s going to be exciting.”

One of the cool things about browsing many of the Comic-Con interviews featuring the cast is seeing the presence of Tyler Hoechlin at many of them, even if he is only going to play Clark Kent / Superman for a small handful of episodes over the course of the series’ run. He seems eager to take it on, though he acknowledges several challenges in this video in particular, most notably the fact that so many other people have worn the famed cape before and there are many inherent challenges that go along with that.

Still, we think that Tyler will do a good job in the role, with one of the biggest reasons for it being that this is a show that really seems to understand precisely what it is tonally. Over the years we’ve seen movies try a little too hard to make Superman into a super-serious figure, and we’re rather thrilled that he will be appearing here on a show that does occasionally celebrate lightness and fun.
