Marvel’s ‘The Defenders’ logo, epic first teaser revealed (Comic-Con 2016)

While “The Defenders” may be some time away still airing on Netflix, there was nonetheless something awesome that came out of San Diego Comic-Con today: The first teaser and also logo for the big project!

The purpose of this teaser seems for the most part to be assembling the metaphorical pieces on the chessboard, whether it be Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. These four will be joining forces for the purpose of saving New York City, but as it’s hinted here, that may not be particularly easy when they have such a difficult time saving themselves from their own demons.

As for precisely how far away we are from this series’ premiere, it’s fair to assume it’s still a ways down the pipe. We’ve got “Luke Cage” coming out later this year, and then to go along with that, the premiere of “Iron Fist.” At that point, we will then have “The Defenders” more on the horizon before Netflix branches out again and offers up a second season of “Jessica Jones,” which will be filmed not too long at all after “The Defenders” wraps up. “The Punisher” is also floating around somewhere in the ether.

So, for the time being, relish what could be coming up. We know that we’re certainly excited to see all of it unfold! This is one of the more ambitious projects that Netflix has constructed, and so far it has already been several years in the making.
