The second season of “Quantico” is officially is production for ABC, and it looks as though there are going to be plenty of new faces joining those who already know rather well.
Take, for example, Aarón Díaz. Per a report from TVLine, the telenovela actor, who has few English-language credits to his name beyond “Pan Am” (a show we really enjoyed, even if not everyone else watched it) is going to be appearing as a “thrill-seeking photojournalist” named León Velez in multiple episodes of the show. This is a guy used to adventure, and he’s also not particularly used to staying around in any one place for too long. When you consider that, of course you have to wonder how he is going to fit in exactly with the rest of this world.
This role is hopefully going to be an exciting one that throws him into the orbit of several different characters. Personally, one of the fun parts we envision happening is that he could easily be a love interest that gives someone a sense of a life outside of the FBI or the CIA. While there are heroic jobs, we’ve also seen on this show time and time again that they are ones that mark you for death in many ways. It’s so easy for things to go awry, and it makes it difficult to keep your head above water.
Expect there to be even more additions to the show over the course of the coming weeks; the most notable one for now is Blair Underwood.
