‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 10: Could Leonard, Penny’s ceremony hit a snag?
The ninth season of “The Big Bang Theory” ended in a way that was a little more muted, at least compared to some previous years on the air. While there was no jaw-dropped shocker that took place such as what we saw with Amy and Sheldon at the end of season 8, we did have Leonard and Penny’s plans for a peaceful vow renewal ceremony go up in smoke as their parents feuded … at least until Sheldon’s mother decided to go off with Leonard’s father to his hotel room. Sheldon was completely oblivious as to what was going on, but suffice it to say it didn’t take a lot of time for everyone else to piece things together.
While it is fair to probably assume that everyone will get back on the same page for the upcoming season 10 premiere, there’s no guarantee of anything at all! This is, after all, something that was confirmed by what executive producer Steve Molaro had to say on the subject to Entertainment Weekly:
“We’re left with a good amount of tension between all the parents … There’s a lot of fallout the following morning before we even get to the ceremony, if we even do.”
While we may be somewhat in the minority with this, we already know that Leonard and Penny are happy and we therefore don’t have a whole lot of concern when it comes to what happens with their vow ceremony. At this point in the show’s run, we’re more interested / partially concerned in the professional lives of these characters, and whether or not they are able to make some of these dreams into a reality after already finding so much success in their love lives.
