‘Girl Meets World’ season 3, episode 8 preview: ‘Girl Meets Ski Lodge’ and familiarity

Every now and then, “Girl Meets World” likes to bring back characters who are iconic to “Boy Meets World” and the show’s universe as a whole. Why not do the same thing with locations? It’s with that in mind that the next two episodes of the series on the Disney Channel are so interesting, given that we’re really touching on a place that is famous for a less-than-fortunate event on the original show involving Cory Matthews: The ski lodge. There’s history there regarding his relationship with Topanga, and not all of it is great.

Will that be addressed on next week’s “Girl Meets Ski Lodge: Part One”? It’s possible, but the short episode synopsis below (via TV Guide) does not exactly give a whole lot away:

“Cory becomes head of the Nature Club, so the gang goes on a trip to a familiar ski lodge.”

Given that the majority of the other two-part episodes over the course of the series’ history have been super-significant to the main characters, we have to assume in many ways that this will be, as well. The question is just how. At the moment Maya’s identity crisis is taking center stage as an important story in this world, but it certainly would not surprise us to see some other things added to that list including Lucas’ feelings, which continue to be pushed to the back burner in a rather frustrating way.
