‘Preacher’ episode 7 preview: Jesse’s haunted by Eugene…
What happened on last week’s episode of “Preacher” was pretty darn horrifying. Of course, we’re talking here primarily in terms of what happened to Eugene. Jesse Custer’s still trying to get a hold of Genesis, and in turn, figuring what he is now capable of. Unfortunately, this came at the expense of a young man who now is effectively gone from this world.
Given what we’re talking about here, is it really a surprise that the sheriff is going to come looking for him? That’s what the sneak peek below from Sunday’s episode is all about! The right questions are asked of Jesse, but before he can answer, there’s a perfect temporary diversion courtesy of the kitchen almost catching on fire. The thumbnail to the video below is almost poetic with the fire swirling around this supposed holy man. That’s pretty much his heart at this point.
What Preacher is going to have to figure out in the coming weeks is that the more he does, the harder it’ll be to hide. These first six episodes have been a journey, but the worst is most likely still to come. These final episodes should test his powers, and whether or not he can free himself from what’s within him. Of course, you can also expect the show to set up season 2 in some interesting ways. It may have only been recently renewed, but the powers-that-be on the show had to figure this was coming.
