‘The Musketeers’ season 3, episode 6 video: Feron seeks violence, death

Musketeers -

The next new episode of “The Musketeers” airs Saturday on BBC One, and there is reason to fear for many characters. In particular, we are speaking of the good guys! Thanks to both Feron and Grimaud, everyone from Athos to Aramis is in danger, and the sneak peek below is a warning.

In some ways, this preview featuring Feros feels almost like a monologue to the viewers. He explains first his conceptualization of death, only to then go on and on about why this in particular may be the day for our heroes. He’s got the resources to do some terrible things, and he also may have the right timing. After all, the synopsis does indicate that the Musketeers will be split up on some separate duties:

“It’s the day of reckoning, as Grimaud vows to kill the Musketeers in a series of savage co-ordinated attacks and puts Feron to the ultimate test in his bid for power. With Athos distracted and Aramis on anunlikely pilgrimage with the King, the Musketeers are divided when they need each other most. The furious battle for survival sparks a series of revelations that threaten to destroy Paris. Before the day is out, a hero falls, there’s a traitor on the rise and the Musketeers will be changed forever.”

It will be a terrible shame to lose one of the main characters here, so close to the ending. Yet, we would not be particularly shocked. If there was an event out there that could accelerate the story in the final episodes, it would be losing a hero here. It is motivation, and above all it increases investment from the viewers.
