‘Mr. Robot’ season 2, ‘The Magicians’ Comic-Con panels announced by USA, Syfy

We already knew that San Diego Comic-Con was going to have a rather robust lineup of great shows; now, it’s been confirmed that this lineup is even better than first imaged.

Today, USA confirmed that on Thursday, July 21, there will be a panel for “Mr. Robot” season 2 at the convention moderated by none other than Comic-Con guru / “@midnight” host Chris Hardwick. Meanwhile, there will also be a panel for “Colony” moderated by “Parks and Recreation” star Retta and one about the upcoming “Falling Water” series, including a screening for the pilot episode. What probably makes the “Mr. Robot” panel all the more interesting is that it will give us an opportunity to see the premiere episode broken down, given that this is going to air on USA Wednesday night.

As for sister station Syfy, they are bringing a number of notable panels to the table including “The Magicians” on July 23, which will be moderated by none other than source author Lev Grossman. Meanwhile, “MythBusters” alum Adam Savage will also moderate a panel that same day for “The Expanse,” and there will be a screening for new series “Incorporated.”

All in all, it’s a pretty nice little lineup for these two networks, and we certainly feel like all of the shows mentioned here are perfectly suited of the Comic-Con crowd; sure, “Mr. Robot” in particular may not have that much specifically to do with the comic world, but its tone and subject matter is at least tangential to some themes that you’re going to see on some other products on the show floor.
