‘Madam Secretary’ season 3: Tim Daly shares first photo from filming!

For everyone excited for the third season of “Madam Secretary” to be on the air, rest assured that there are plenty of reasons to be! After all, we’ve got a key decision for Elizabeth to make, and more than likely a rather robust series of political conflicts that could unfold over the course of the season.

As always, though, we anticipate most of these things to take place in stages, and today marks the beginning of the latest one: Filming. The photo below comes via Tim Daly’s official Twitter page, and it features him alongside Tea Leoni as the title Secretary of State … or at least she used to be. We presume that the show won’t make us wait too long before making it clear as to whether or not this is a position she will change given the offer to be Vice-President. Personally we do hope that she does keep her former role, but within this world, who knows for sure if that will be the case? This would be an interesting reinvention of the show, and what “Veep” has shown is that you can modify yourself and shake things up time and time again with little issue.

As for the remainder of the stories coming up this season, we do think there is an air of mystery with that! We would imagine that they will be timely and relate to real-world conflicts, especially given how many headlines have broken over the course of the summer. This is a show about challenges, and within this profession there are always new ones that rise to the surface.
