The second episode of “Ray Donovan” this season is coming to Showtime on Sunday night, but before we get around to that, why not just go ahead and share a new video from the series’ star talking about taking a very different role in the first episode?
In the video below, you can see Liev Schreiber speaking out at length about how directing the premiere episode for this season did require him to flex some very different muscles, and allowed him the opportunity to prepare for the show in a way that he typically does not. (It had a little bit less to do with hitting the gym.) This is a show where there is a lot going on at all times, and for Schreiber, it makes sense that he would direct the premiere given that he would have a little more time to prepare for it than he would had if he had chosen to direct something in the middle of the season.
If you are curious as to what is coming up Sunday, one thing we can tell you is that Ray is going to make a last-ditch move before a TV interview that could get crazy very quickly. He’s hired to do a job, and of course he’ll do whatever he can to make it happen … even if there are harsh consequences. Rest assured that we’ll cover this a little bit more tomorrow, and have a further preview for what is coming up next.
