‘Preacher’ episode 6 video: DeBlanc and Fiore try to explain Jesse’s power

On Sunday night’s new episode of “Preacher,” let’s just say that Jesse Custer is going to get some less-than-lovely news about what is inhabiting him. For a little while, he thought that it was a force of good allowing him to be a stronger vessel for the teachings of Christ. Now, he’s starting to get more of a sense that it is something far less noble.

In the sneak peek below, DeBlanc and Fiore do their part to convince Dominic Cooper that was really lies within him is actually basically an all-powerful offspring of an angel and a demon, something that they really need to get out of him before there is any further damage that can be done. He definitely seems to be far more receptive in this moment, as he legitimately hears them out. Had Cassidy went to Jesse sooner on this, maybe this conversation could’ve happened before we got to this point. Alas, that is not the case.

We consider this scene mostly to be a jumping-off point for whatever is going to happen from here on out in this episode, but we anticipate some significant developments based not only on what Jesse knows at present, but also that we’re at the halfway point in the season. This is the time where some things do need to make big moves forward to get us where we need to be by the time we reach the finale.
